Veterans Day closings
The following will be closed today, unless otherwise noted.
Government and courts
Federal, state, county offices and courts are closed.
Buses and streetcars
There will be no changes to the HART, HARTplus and the TECO Line Streetcar System schedules.
Malls, attractions, museums
International Plaza, WestShore Plaza, Westfield Citrus Park, Westfield Brandon and University Mall will be open normal hours. (Department store and restaurant hours may vary.)
The Tampa Museum of Art will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Florida Aquarium will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Busch Gardens will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lowry Park Zoo will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Garbage collection
The cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City will not have pickup. The Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department will have garbage collection and recycling pickup.
Utilities
Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas offices will be open.
Post offices, mail
All post offices closed; no mail delivery.
Schools
Hillsborough County public schools are closed.
Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida are closed. The University of Tampa is open.
Libraries and banks
All public libraries and most banks closed.
Recreation
All city and county recreation centers will be closed, but parks will remain open.
