Biker, 30, killed in collision with car

A 30-year-old man died Monday morning from injuries suffered when his motorcycle collided with a car on U.S. 19, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Jacob Michael Cook of Spring Hill was riding a 1977 Harley-Davidson south on the highway when the accident occurred about 8 a.m. Angelo Lagreco, 90, of Spring Hill turned his 1999 Cadillac left across the highway and into a Target department store parking lot, according to the report. Lagreco struck the left side of the motorcycle, sending it onto the shoulder of the highway and then into a light pole. Neither Lagreco nor his passenger, Hazel Lagreco, were injured. Cook, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. Lagreco was charged with violation of right of way and making an improper left turn, according to the FHP.
