Wish Farms in Plant City will be the site of the first Bright House Networks Strawberry Picking Challenge on Saturday.

PLANT CITY — Wish Farms will present the first Bright House Networks Strawberry Picking Challenge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at Futch Farms, benefiting the Redlands Christian Migrant Association.

During the Strawberry Picking Challenge, corporate-sponsored teams will participate in a relay race for the title of "Best Harvest Crew." The family-friendly event will include food, games and activities for children.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under, and free for children 3 and under, and include lunch, strawberry shortcake and a gift bag.

Proceeds benefit RCMA, which works to provide early education and other services for the children of migrant farmworkers and rural, low-income families in Florida.

Futch Farms is at 3536 Futch Loop.

    ST. PETERSBURG — One man was arrested on charges he shot another man in the arm while attempting to rob a home in what St. Petersburg police are calling a drug-related incident.
