SunPass Giveaway: State Rep. Ross Spano, R-Dover, will partner with the Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority to host a "SunPass Mini Giveaway" from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 15. The event will be held in Spano's district office at 11256 Winthrop Main St. in Riverview.
"I am excited to partner with THEA on behalf of my constituents here in House District 59. This promotion will provide needed assistance to individuals who rely upon the convenience of the Selmon Expressway, Brandon Parkway and/or Meridian Avenue," Spano said.
Customers who wish to convert from the Toll-By-Plate billing to SunPass may stop in at anytime during the mini giveaway. A Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority representative will be present to facilitate the giveaway, answer questions and share more information about the Authority.

Kennedy named Riverview honorary mayor: Cliff Kennedy of Alley Cat Pest Control earned the title of Riverview honorary mayor.
The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce announced Kennedy's victory at its monthly luncheon Sept. 24. Kennedy, Christian Beiter of Preservation 1st Financial Group and Michelle Mosher of Great Florida Insurance South Shore each vied for the title by holding fundraisers for the charities of their choice.
Combined, the three candidates raised more than $15,000. Kennedy earned the most and the designation of honorary mayor.
Beginning in January, Kennedy will attend community events as honorary mayor and begin a one-year term on the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Seffner expo: The Greater Seff- ner Area Chamber of Commerce holds its Seffner Business Expo from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Brandon Family YMCA, 3097 S Kingsway Road.
Booth prices are $50 for members of both the YMCA and the chamber, $75 if you are a member of one of the organizations, $100 if you are not a member of either organization. The event is free to attendees.
