ST. PETERSBURG ó As the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art prepares for its spring opening, art installation has begun in its nearly 30,000 square feet of galleries.

In the same building, James RE is leasing retail and office space. Club Pilates recently signed a lease for 1,415 square feet on the first floor. It is joining a 7,600-square-foot Datz restaurant and a 6,000-square-foot Woodhouse Day Spa.

Laura Hine, project director for the James projects at 100 Central Ave., described the remaining 5,800 square feet of ground floor retail space, at the corner of Central and First, as a prime spot. "We actually call it the high side. Itís lifted a bit and it has great visibility," she said.

James RE is also leasing nearly 20,000 square feet of office space on its second floor. "We havenít signed anything, but we are in conversations," Hine said.

The Sembler Co. is brokering the retail space and Echelon Real Estate Services, the office space.
