HOSPITAL OPENS BREATHING CLINIC: On Dec. 8, Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, 14000 Fivay Road, Hudson, opened a Better Breathing Clinic to assist patients with managing disease processes that affect the patient’s ability to lead active and full lives due to medical conditions that affect their breathing. GULF COAST MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES NCQA RECOGNITION: Gulf Coast Medical Center’s internal medicine and family practice physicians have been awarded recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance Physician Practice Connections — Patient-Centered Medical Home. GCMC’s two Port Richey locations earned recognition as the highest of three possible levels of achievement. NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to measuring and improving health care quality. The committee measures aspects of care including access and communication, patient tracking and registry functions, care management, patient self-management support, electronic prescribing, test tracking, performance reporting and improvement, and advanced electronic communications.

CityNOW recently joined the Pasco EDC as a corporate council-level investor. COMMON GROUNDS PITCH SERIES: Pasco Economic Development Council will offer a Common Grounds Pitch presentation series one Wednesday each month from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at SMARTstart Dade City Entrepreneur Center, 37837 Meridian Ave., Suite 309, Dade City.
