Biloxi casino offers air packages from Tampa Bay area

Nonstop airline service will resume April 1 between the Tampa Bay area and Mississippi's Gulf Coast.

Biloxi's Beau Rivage Resort is offering two-night hotel and air packages out of St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Introductory rates start at $199 per person, double occupancy, plus taxes and fees. Allegiant Air will make three round trips weekly, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Reservations can be made by calling toll-free 1-877-462-2328.

Beau Rivage and other Mississippi casinos previously subsidized flights from Tampa International by AirTran Airways. But AirTran dropped the service in January when the casinos didn't extend the deal.
