Frontier Airlines will add nonstop flights between Tampa and Kansas City beginning in February as part of an expansion of the company's seasonal winter routes.
The new flights will run twice weekly — on Saturday and either Tuesday or Wednesday — from Feb. 15 through April 14. Introductory fares for the flight will start at $99 each way.
The Kansas City route joins seasonal service Frontier is set to begin between Tampa and Omaha, Milwaukee and Des Moines. The airline flies nonstop daily from Tampa to Denver.
"We want these folks to come down here to experience our world-class beaches and our warm Florida sunshine during those cold winter months," said Joe Lopano, CEO of Tampa International Airport. "We know that once they visit, they will come back."
