TAMPA — JetBlue Airways added its first nonstop flights from Tampa International Airport to New York and Washington, D.C., on Monday.
The Washington, D.C., route will fly daily to Reagan National Airport. It will depart D.C. at 11:45 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Tampa at 1:57 p.m. The return flight is set to leave Tampa at 2:40 p.m. and land in Washington at 4:58 p.m.
Two nonstop flights will also make the trip to New York's LaGuardia Airport. The first flight is set to leave New York at 6:30 a.m. daily and land in Tampa at 9:13 a.m. Then it's scheduled to leave Tampa at 10 a.m. and land at LaGuardia at 12:35 p.m. The late-afternoon schedule has the second flight leaving LaGuardia at 4:10 p.m. and arriving in Tampa at 7:07 p.m. Then it departs Tampa at 7:13 p.m. and arrives in New York at 9:59 p.m.
New York is the most popular destination from Tampa, while Washington, D.C., is ranked eighth, according to airport officials.
JetBlue, a discount New York airline, is also offering special fares. Through July 31, the Washington, D.C., trip will be $79, while the flight to New York will cost $99. More information can be found at jetblue.com.
