Travelers beware — because of new construction, drivers looking to pick up and drop offer passengers at Tampa International Airport's curbside pick up will no longer be able to circle the main terminal.

Drivers leaving the short-term and long-term parking garages will also be redirected around the main terminal to exit the airport.

The temporary changes in traffic flow are meant to reduce traffic congestion during ongoing construction. The airport is spending $953 million on renovations that will continue through 2017.

Drivers looking to pick up passengers should wait in the airport's cell phone waiting lot and only head to the main terminal curbside pick up loop when travelers are ready to leave. Visitors can also park temporarily in the short-term parking garage, where parking is free for the first hour.

The cellphone waiting lot offers free parking, free WiFi. restrooms and real-time flight information. It's located south of the main terminal across from the economy parking garage.
