TAMPA — Skies over South Tampa will be noisier starting Monday when Tampa International Airport closes its main runway for a month to fix sections of slabs and joints. The airport will divert landings and takeoffs to its east runway. Arrivals will be especially loud as aircraft come in slow and steady over South Tampa. The airport has about 220 arrivals each day. Travelers won't be delayed by the construction.
