Say goodbye to a restaurant you've probably walked by numerous times without ever going into. They closed the doors of the Wharf Grill and Brewhouse at Tampa International Airport for the last time Thursday night. With its display of fresh fish on ice greeting travelers on the third-floor transfer level, the Wharf was a fixture at the airport since opening in 1986. But business fell off as the airport brought in brand-name restaurants, including a busy T.G.I. Friday's just a few steps away. HMSHost will remodel the space for a Carrabba's Italian Grill, the first ever in an airport, set to open in November.
