Kforce reports fourth quarter net income of $3.5 million

Tampa staffing company Kforce Inc. saw its fourth-quarter operating profits fall 52 percent from a year ago amid declining revenue. Net income fell to $3.5 million, or 9 cents per share, down from net income of $7.4 million, or 19 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter, the company said Tuesday. The latter figure does not include a charge that led to a fourth-quarter 2008 loss of $107.9 million, or $2.81 per share. Kforce reported $224.6 million in revenue for the fourth quarter, down 7 percent from a year ago.
