Ruth Eckerd Hall ticket sales in nation's top 10

Ruth Eckerd Hall beat out New York's Radio City Music Hall to rank in the top 10 in ticket sales at the start of 2008, according to Pollstar, an entertainment industry trade publication. The Clearwater theater sold 106,189 tickets through March 31, earning it sixth place among venues with 5,000 or fewer seats. Ruth Eckerd jumped three spots in the rankings since the first quarter of 2007, when the hall sold about 85,000 tickets. For those keeping track at home, the top-ranked venue in the world in the 5,000-seat category was the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.
