Tampa's yacht StarShip will sail north next week for Beantown. The 180-foot dining ship will operate brunch, lunch and dinner cruises from the South Boston's Seaport District from June 1 through Oct. 13. Business has traditionally fallen off during the muggy summer months, president Troy Manthey said. The coming season looked especially slow with a drop in local corporate and convention/meeting sales, he said. His company's other vessel, the StarShip II, will alternate sailing days between Tampa's Channel District and its regular home at the Clearwater Municipal Marina. The original StarShip, which has sailed from Tampa for seven years, will return in the fall. "We make money in the spring and fall and lose money in the summer," said Manthey. "StarShip is very healthy, but we're getting creative about how to keep everyone employed."
