Clearwater's Aerosonic Corp., a supplier of flight products to the aviation industry, today said the company sustained "significant damage" from a fire to one of the buildings comprising its Clearwater facility.

The company said it is working on a recovery plan that includes temporarily reassigning employees whose work areas were affected by the fire to unaffected facilities in Clearwater and Charlottesville, Va.

Because of the damage, Aerosonic said it has had no access to the affected building to determine if any property is recoverable. The company said it is insured for real property, personal property and loss of business income.
