Floridians are starting to feel better about the economy.
The Florida Consumer Confidence Index took a big jump this month, rising 6 points to 67.
While that's not great, it's better than June's all-time low of 59, which researchers say was likely the bottom.
"Consumers in Florida have now absorbed most of the bad economic news," said survey director Chris McCarty at the University of Florida Bureau of Economic and Business Research. "We will no doubt have a very weak holiday season, but many people are looking past that to better times."
