Chief information officer David Segal of Pro Tech Monitoring Inc. won CIO of the Year and IntegraClick Inc. was named Emerging Technology Company of the Year at Thursday evening's fifth annual industry achievement awards ceremony put on by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. Pro Tech uses GPS to track criminal offenders, while IntegraClick offers online marketing expertise. Other awards: Innovation of the Year went to Medical Education Technologies Inc. and L-3 Aviation Recorders Division; Professional Services Company of the Year to Digital Hands; and Quantum Leap Technology of the Year to FrankCrum. "This year's recipients are breaking new ground and are a prime example of the amazing technology developing in our region," said Technology Forum CEO Amy Norman.
