My Favorite Car: 1973 Datsun 240Z, Boyd J. Mullholand, 79, Pinellas Park

’73 Datsun 240Z

I bought my new 1973 Datsun 240Z (the first of the "Z" series) for $5,000 and was exceedingly proud to be the owner of a special new design personal sports car. It was exhilarating sliding into that little dream day after day. I was so excited to have the colors and decor showing and honoring my Ohio State Buckeyes everywhere I drove. It was uplifting even driving to the hospital in the middle of the night to help with emergency C-sections or to care for premature babies needing urgent care in the NICU. I kept it immaculate until after retirement from medical practice and gave it a huge hug and kiss as I sold it to someone special after 38 years with me. Loved my awesome "Z"!
