'36 Chevy

After serving two years as part of the Occupation Forces in Japan, I bought my first car: a 1936 Chevy two-door sedan I bought for $30. What you see is a sedan, but when I finished it was a two-door convertible. I cut off the top, bought a 1940 Oldsmobile convertible frame, then covered the top with canvas from the boatyard. I sold it in 1949 for $10.
