'54 Ford Crestline
This is a picture of my first car that I purchased in 1957, taken near our farmhouse. It had a coral top and cream color below. It had only 27,000 miles and cost $810. The previous owner was a local banker. The car had only six cylinders but powered a lot of pleasant memories. I was even allowed to drive it on our senior class trip to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1959. This trip was about 400 miles and would never be allowed in this day and age. I owned the car until my second year of college, 1961, at which time it had over 110,000 miles, and I then traded it for an "ugly" 1960 Fairlane which appears to be very rare today.
