'48 Lincoln Continental
I had always been in love with this body style, and when in the late 1950s I saw this one on a car lot in Falls Church, Va., I couldn't resist. They were a classic even then, and you never found one on a used car lot. It was a very dark green, almost black. It had a "Bermuda Bell" on the floor board, which I was told you had to use instead of the horn when driving in Bermuda. It had 12 cylinders. I paid $2,000 for it. Although it emptied out my bank account at the time, I never regretted buying it.
