'70 Chevelle Malibu

It was around 1995 when I ran into this Chevelle that was for sale. I already had one, but I had to have this one — with a large dent in the hood and a hole in the seat — for $1,200. It was completely original with the tire in the trunk having the yellow stamp from the factory. My wife was so mad, she told me to go live with my dad. I sold the other Chevelle and that sure helped with the family. A few days before Thanksgiving, a paint truck slid into me sitting at a light and the car got smashed badly in the rear. I was shocked that his insurance company repaired the car. I have such wonderful memories with my Chevelle and all the time I spent with Dad driving this car. When he passed, I had this car completely done over in his memory, and I even raced this car at the drag strip.
