'74 Triumph TR6 Roadster
As a teenager growing up in coastal Southern California, I purchased this 1974 Triumph TR6 roadster brand new right off the showroom floor two weeks prior to my 16th birthday for about $4,500 with money earned working as a plumber's apprentice. It sat in my parents' garage until I received my driver's license on Oct. 15, 1974. Subsequent to that, it rarely sat at all. The car's lines, which are not so evident in this photo, seem timeless, even to this day. As a convertible, it was the perfect car to cruise the Pacific Coast Highway during a time that seemed less complicated than today. I certainly enjoyed that car.
