My Favorite Car: '98 Panoz Roadster, Ron Drummonds, 54, Valrico

'98 Panoz Roadster

I have had several sports cars over my lifetime, but this 1998 hand-built Panoz Roadster had to be the most eye-catching car I have ever owned. This is a very rare car that is built in Braselton, Ga. It is not a kit car. It has a Ford Cobra V-8 and is housed in a lightweight aluminum frame. 0-60 is in less than 6 seconds. I owned this car for five years. I sold it to a car dealer up north and replaced it with a 2008 Corvette convertible. There were only 250 of these cars built and someday I would consider buying another one just like it. I never grew tired of onlookers asking me, "What is that?"
