'41 Chevy convertible

This picture was taken in 1949. This was my '41 Chevy convertible. Just two years out of high school and, as you can see, I felt I was the cat's meow. It was dark green with a red leather interior. A friend of mine worked at a Chevy dealer in the body shop and I had them lead in all the seams by the back fenders. This had the Chevy six-cylinder engine and I had few problems other than replacing the points and cap on the distributor. One of the great features was the under-seat heater on the driver's side. I sold the car to a friend for $650 when I was drafted in the Korean War. I lost track of the car after that.
