'52 Ford
After serving in the Army in Korea, I was honorably discharged in October 1953 and returned to my home in Cleveland. For the next few years, I worked with heavy equipment in road and bridge construction. I was constantly bugged by my dad to get a job with a future. To get him off my back, I made application and took the test for the Cleveland Police Department. I was notified of my acceptance and was sworn in on May 1, 1956. This photo, with my 1952 Ford, was taken behind the old Cleveland stadium with Lake Erie in the background. After 27 years with the Police Department, I retired and accepted a position with the federally funded intelligence agency. After a few years, I moved to Pasco County. I joined the Pasco County Sheriff's Office and spent 16 1/2 years with that agency. I retired in 1993 at age 72. I wish my dad was alive today so I could thank him for the direction he headed me in.
