Alex Sink to join Tampa's Hyde Park Capital investment firm

Alex Sink, former Democratic candidate for governor, Florida's former chief financial officer and onetime state president of Bank of America, will join Tampa investment firm Hyde Park Capital as a senior adviser, it was announced Thursday morning.

Sink, 62, will focus on business development and expanding client relationships for the firm.

"I have taken my time to evaluate a number of opportunities," Sink said in a statement. "Hyde Park Capital's focus on successful public and private middle market companies allows me to pursue my continued long term interest in working with Florida's business community and entrepreneurs."

Hyde Park Capital, led by investment bankers John Hill and John McDonald, specializes in mergers and acquisitions and raising capital for public and private companies in Florida and the Southeast.
