St. Petersburg's Synovus Bank has completed its consolidation with Naples-based First Florida Bank, which it acquired in April 2006. The change brings the former affiliates together under the Synovus name. The merged entity has nearly $1.7-billion in assets, 325 employees and 27 offices on Florida's west coast.
