Credit union support specialist to lay off 53

St. Petersburg's PSCU, a Carillon area provider of back-office support for its member-owner credit unions, is laying off 53 call center employees from its local staff of 800. PSCU spokeswoman Merry Pateuk said the organization is relocating workers to other call center locations outside Detroit or to Phoenix. Based at 580 Carillon Parkway, PSCU is working with affected employees who are not relocating to find jobs elsewhere in the company or in the community, she said.

PSCU's call center handles calls and resolves problems for credit unions' customers. Notification of the 53 layoffs appeared Monday on the state's WARN (Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice website.
