Two more community forums on flood insurance slated

Two more community forums are scheduled to talk about how the ongoing flood insurance crisis is sending some rates soaring and putting a crimp in the housing market.

The city of Gulfport will host a forum at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd. S, at 6 p.m. Nov. 7. Among the speakers will be Pinellas County Property Appraiser Pam Dubov.

Separately the Northeast Park Neighborhood Association will host a panel discussion on flood insurance at the North East Park Baptist Church, 3737 First St. NE in St. Petersburg, at 7 p.m. Nov. 11. For more details, contact the association via email at or call (727) 895-8155.

    TV ratings service Nielsen will begin tracking how many people watch network TV on YouTube and Hulu to gauge how many viewers broadcast networks have through streaming, the company announced Tuesday.
