Beef 'O'Brady's closes at Northeast Shopping Center

st. petersburg

Won't see you now at this beef 'o'brady's site

A sign in the window still advertised Monday Night Trivia and 75-cent drafts last week. But the Beef 'O'Brady's at the Northeast Shopping Center is closed. Shannon Patten, a spokeswoman for Publix Super Markets, which leased the space to the restaurant, said the tenants returned the keys on Jan. 19.

"We tried to relocate that store, but it's a pretty tight market," said Nick Vojnovic, president of the Tampa-based Beef 'O'Brady's chain.

Vojnovic said that the recession has hit the Florida restaurants hard. "There's not enough construction workers and other people around to afford a quick lunch," he said.
