Tampa's One Source Landscape and & Golf Services will cut 253 jobs by the end of the year, according to a state-required Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filing on Friday.

The business at 3605 Bougainvillea Avenue provides landscaping and grounds maintenance at Busch Gardens.

One Source is owned by New York's ABM Industries, which offered this statement Friday evening: "Our company has successfully provided landscape, rides and facility maintenance services at Busch Gardens Tampa and Busch Gardens Williamsburg for many years. The two parks will now assume these responsibilities in-house with approximately 250 new positions.

"We have been working hand in hand with these clients so that employees of OneSource Landscape & Golf will be given first consideration for these new positions, and we anticipate that the vast majority will join the Busch Gardens family."

The reported layoffs at One Source are the largest to appear on the state WARN list of Tampa area job cuts since Continental Airlines announced 685 cuts at its reservations center in Tampa this past summer.
