WIN FINANCIAL SERVICES: Independent Financial Services in Land O'Lakes announces the 2014 Balancing Your Financial Future contest. One local person or family will win a complete financial plan, valued at $1,500, to help decide ways to meet your short- and long-term financial goals. There are no financial qualifications for the contest. The contest is open to Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk county residents. Entrants must write a statement of 300 words or less about why they should win, and "Like" the Independent Financial Services Facebook page. Those working with a financial planner cannot enter. HOLIDAY CLOSURES: The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce will close at noon Tuesday. The office will be closed on Wednesday. The Central Pasco, Dade City, Wesley Chapel and West Pasco chambers of commerce will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

PIGZ IN Z'HILLS BBQ & BLUES: The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce's fourth annual Pigz in Z'Hills BBQ & Blues Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport, 39450 South Ave., Zephyrhills. The event will include a barbecue, blues music, kids' zone, car/motorcycle show, business expo and aviation displays/WWII Museum. Headliner blues bands include Ellie Lee & Blues Fury, the Charlie Morris Band, and the Selwyn Birchwood Band.
