Owners David and Wendy Hevia recently added a boutique to their Land O’Lake Kiefer Village Jewels location, with great responses. Pandora is a Danish jewelry line, featuring customized charm bracelets and matching rings, earrings and necklaces. Attending the ribbon cutting were Amanda Berg, store manager at the Dade City location, the Hevias and members of the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce.

Who's news

Dr. Garland Forbes of Forbes Endodontics, 6707 Madison St., New Port Richey, was recently inducted as a fellow of the International College of Dentists at its 82nd annual convocation.

An honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the profession and community, the college presented Forbes with a membership plaque, a gold lapel pin and a gold key symbolic of the fellowship for conspicuous service rendered in the art and science of dentistry.

Forbes attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and gained his endodontic certification at the Graduate Dental School of Ohio State University. He is a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps, and an adjunct faculty member for graduate endodontics at the School of Dentistry of the University of Florida.

The fifth-annual "Sleek & Sexy" Night will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the Phi Delta Kappa Banquet Hall, 11301 Phi Delt Way, Odessa (on State Road 54 behind Pappas Ranch).

This year's event has a Vegas theme and Vegas-style entertainment. It is a fundraiser for the Center for Independence and the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals Group's charity and scholarship fund.

The event, presented by Bob Memoli with Florida Luxury Realty, will feature a special feature performance by the Junior Service League's "Dancing With the Local Stars" dancers, premium hors d'oeuvres by Lonzalos, silent auction, photo booth, music and dancing.

There also will be a grand prize raffle to win a designer diamond necklace by Gabriel, valued at more than $1,200 and donated by DeLuca's Fine Jewelry; and contests for the sexiest eyes, hair, smile and shoes.
