Lincare extends employment deals for CEO, top executives

Lincare Holdings, the in-home oxygen and respiratory services company headquartered in Clearwater, said Monday that it extended employment agreements for chief executive officer John P. Byrnes and two other top executives through 2012.

The previous agreements with Byrnes, chief operating officer Shawn S. Schabel and chief financial officer Paul G. Gabos were due to expire Dec. 31. Byrnes will receive his current base salary of $897,000, plus an amount equal to the percentage in the consumer price index starting Jan. 1.

He also is eligible for a bonus of 200 percent of his salary or a percentage tied to company's earnings per share compared with projections in Lincare's annual business plan.
