Oldsmar manufacturer Hydro-Dyne Engineering buys larger facility in Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK — Hydro-Dyne Engineering, an Oldsmar-based maker of industrial water equipment, is expanding into Pinellas Park with one of the largest manufacturing facilities in North America's water and wastewater industry, the company said Monday.

The firm recently closed on the purchase of the 107,500-square-feet facility, five times larger than its current plant, with the help of a Pinellas County industrial revenue bond. Hydro-Dyne builds screening and grit-removal equipment for municipal and industrial water facilities.

The firm said the move, planned for the third quarter, would allow for an unspecified number of new hires in engineering, production and sales at its new headquarters.
