Quality Distribution shuffles top managers

Quality Distribution is re­arranging its management, elevating chief financial officer Stephen Attwood to president and chief operating officer, and recruiting area finance veteran Joe Troy as its new chief financial officer.

Chief executive Gary R. Enzor, who previously was also president, announced the promotion Monday, giving Attwood credit for leading the Tampa trucking company's restructuring efforts.

"Going forward, Steve will devote his efforts to emerging growth opportunities, with a continued emphasis on maximizing financial returns and improving the operational performance of our core chemical transportation business," Enzor said in a statement.

Troy, former CFO with Walter Industries (the predecessor company of Walter Energy), takes over as executive vice president and chief financial officer Aug. 2.
