Superior Uniform Group reports $65.6 million in sales for second quarter

SEMINOLE — Superior Uniform Group Inc. reported sales of $65.6 million in net sales for the second quarter, up a percentage point from the same quarter last year, the Seminole-based company reported Thursday.

"We are seeing increases in our sales activity with larger volumes of opportunities, although they are moving through the pipeline at a slower pace," CEO Michael Benstock said in a release.

Net income was $4.3 million for the year's second quarter, up about 31 percent from the same time a year ago. Superior's stock went up about 2.5 percent to hit $22.19 per share before the close of market.
