Low-flying helicopters will be hovering around Tampa Electric transmission lines in the coming weeks.

The helicopters will fly between 30 and 300 feet above lines and poles while workers inspect equipment using infrared technology and traditional cameras. Some inspections will take place within view of roads and neighborhoods, and Tampa Electric said there is no cause for alarm.

Work begins Monday and will continue during daylight hours for four weeks.
