ST. PETERSBURG — Triad Retail Media, a St. Petersburg-based digital ads company, said CEO Roger Berdusco is "leaving the company to pursue new opportunities" and a member of the executive team, Sherry Smith, is taking over.

"A driven and accountable leader on the executive team, (Smith) holds the admiration of her colleagues and the respect of Triad's retail partners and brand clients," the company said in a news release on Monday.

Smith, 46, has been with Triad since 2007, most recently holding the title of global chief customer officer. In her new role, she will oversee growth and company vision.

"I'm thrilled to be leading an extremely motivated and passionate team who are committed to our clients and their success," Smith said in a release.

According to spokesperson Denise Wilson, Berdusco, 55, has not announced his next step.

"We understand that he'll be taking some time to spend with his family before his next move," she said in an email.

The move is part of Triad's transition under British public relations firm WPP, which bought Triad in 2016 for about $300 million.
