Three finalists emerge for vacant PSC post

Gov. Charlie Crist has his pick of three candidates for the upcoming vacancy on the Public Service Commission. Commissioner Lisa Polak Edgar, whose term is slated to expire, is among the finalists, the state Senate PSC nominating council voted Friday. Edgar joined the commission in 2005, and served as chairwoman for two years. Edgar came to the commission after serving as deputy secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection. Her commission term expires in January. Also in the running are William Dawson, Jr. and former state Rep. Luis Rojas, R-Hialeah. Rojas is a registered lobbyist for Wal-Mart and Florida Crystals.
