Four Cork & Olive locations will reopen

Cork & Olive fans have something to celebrate, as new investors reopen shuttered branches of the wine bar chain.

The chain shut down several stores in June, shutting company-owned stores in Clearwater, Brandon, Largo, Oldsmar, St. Petersburg, Wesley Chapel and South Tampa after failing to reach a deal for $3-million in financing from a hedge fund.

A new group of investors and wine enthusiasts called the New Wine Group announced this week that it will reopen four of the eight locations that were closed in June, including the stores in South Tampa, Oldsmar, Brandon and Wesley Chapel.

The store sells wine, gourmet foods and olive wood utensils.
