They landed at Tampa International Airport Airside F.
The Haitian nationals, believed to be mostly children, were evaluated by Tampa Fire Rescue paramedics, then were sent to Tampa Bay area hospitals based on their conditions and bed availability.
Tampa General Hospital, which has a specialized burn center, was expected to receive a number of patients, as was St. Joseph's Hospital.
The international relief effort included representatives from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Florida's Department of Children and Families.
It was unknown how long the Haitian children will remain in the area.
