Pasco-Hernando Community College is seeking business partners from Pasco and Hernando counties to host student interns starting in January. Interns would dedicate 90 hours over 15 weeks, working in a business related to their course of study.

USA Tree Service and the Hernando County Foster Parents Association will host their second annual Christmas party for Hernando County foster children Dec. 18. This year's theme is "Music and Art."
In order to provide each child with a day of fun and memories, community support — in the form of toys, money, refreshments and gift certificates — is needed.
Gifts for the party may be dropped off at USA Tree Service, 3422 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach, or at CenterState Bank, 12435 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill.

Extreme Bicycles, 14245 Powell Road, Silverthorn Plaza, Spring Hill, is donating his and hers bicycles for a drawing to benefit the Arc Nature Coast. Tickets are $3 each or two for $5.
Drawings for Giant Cypress 2012 men's and Giant Cypress 2012 women's bikes, both with a retail value of $389, will take place during the Arc's holiday open house Friday at its new education center at 6495 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill. Individuals do not need to be present to win.

The Hernando County Farmers Market, 2450 Commercial Way, in the parking lot of the old Kmart in Spring Hill, will have a food drive to benefit local charities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday through Dec. 17. Drop-off boxes will be available to collect donations of nonperishable foods, which will be distributed to local charities.

Tijuana Cowboys, 1365 Kass Circle, Spring Hill, is conducting a toy drive to collect items for its annual Day with Santa, which will be at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 17. Items or cash donations may be dropped off at the restaurant. For information, call Regina at (352) 610-4385.

Local tangerines and navel oranges will be available at the Rising Sun Cafe for $5 a bag from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays, with proceeds benefiting the Love Your Neighbor nonprofit organization. The restaurant is at 10 S Main St., Brooksville.
A local grower is providing the fresh produce for the fundraiser. The fruit will be picked and bagged daily and will be available through the end of the growing season.
Love Your Neighbor has a free community dinner at the cafe at 2 p.m. each Sunday, and many meals are provided on a daily basis at the cafe as well. The Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida and the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce are providing free consultations to small businesses and entrepreneurs in Hernando County.

Coast Dental recently celebrated the opening of its second Hernando County practice. Coast Dental/Spring Hill East is at 14381 Spring Hill Drive in the Barclay Crossing Plaza in Spring Hill.
Dr. Athanasius Morcos, a general dentist, will provide comprehensive dental services to adults and children, starting at age 12. He has been practicing since 2001.
Morcos earned his dental degree at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey and undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. In addition, he completed laser training and received an associate fellowship certificate with the World Clinical Laser Institute.

Dr. Petra Gordon Lee of Whispering Pines Dental Lodge, 609 Lamar Ave., Brooksville, recently completed a Level 2 oral surgery course and a radiology course at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and is now a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
