Two additional daily flights to London from Tampa International Airport will generate $20 million in annual spending in Tampa Bay, airport officials say in a report to the airport's governing board. British Airways announced in September it would increase service from Tampa to London's Gatwick Airport from five to seven days a week starting March 27. The flights will bring 22,600 additional passengers to the airport and generate $20 million in new spending in the Tampa Bay area, the report says. The airport's interim executive director, John Wheat, will elaborate on the British Airways flights and other new air service at the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority board meeting this morning at Tampa International.
