Regional business hall of fame adds 5 new inductees
Five area business leaders were inducted Thursday evening into the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame, joining 160 other executives in the hall for their business accomplishments and civic contributions. Inducted in the Class of 2013 were Richard and Cornelia Corbett, Concorde Cos.; Don DeFosset, the DJD Group and a former CEO of Tampa's Walter Industries; William "Bill" Edwards, Mortgage Investors Corp. and owner of Baywalk, now the Shops at St. Pete; and Anne B. Kerr, president of Florida Southern College in Lakeland. The Florida Council on Economic Education created the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame to recognize individuals who have had exceptional careers in the six-county Tampa Bay area.
