Overstock to accept bitcoins | Dec. 28

Bitcoin theft got scant attention

So Overstock.com is now considering accepting bitcoins. Why are there no stories about one of the greatest thefts in history? I'm talking about the taking down of the website SheepMarketPlace, resulting in about $200 million in bitcoins allegedly being stolen by the website's administrator. Before that the FBI confiscated all the bitcoins on the Silk Road website when the agency shut that site down. Seems to me bitcoins are not a secure currency yet. But why no media coverage of the SilkRoad shutdown and the SheepMarketPlace theft?
