LEADERSHIP PASCO: Leadership Pasco is accepting applications for the Class of 2018, which will begin in August. Emerging and existing community leaders who live or work in Pasco County are invited to apply. The class will be chosen from a competitive pool of applicants interested in learning about the important issues facing Pasco County and committed to utilizing their leadership abilities for its long-term benefit. For information, call (727) 534-4280 or visit leadershippasco.com.

FORD'S GARAGE TO OPEN IN WESLEY CHAPEL: Ford's Garage, 25526 Sierra Center Blvd., Wesley Chapel, will open April 3. The first Ford's Garage opened in 2012 in Fort Myers; it then expanded to Cape Coral, Estero and Brandon. The business is a tribute to the legendary Henry Ford, who frequently wintered in Fort Myers. The business combines the look of a 1920s service station with the feel of a modern-day burger and craft beer joint. The menu includes a variety of fresh prime burgers served on a brioche or European pretzel bun. For information, visit fordsgarageusa.com.

NOMINATIONS WANTED: Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Pasco Economic Development Council Industry Awards. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. April 28. Each year, the Pasco EDC evaluates and nominates top companies in the county for their technology, innovation, job creation, growth and capital investment. The EDC also measures a company's investment in community activities. All finalists are interviewed. Winners will be announced at the EDC's 31st annual awards ceremony on Aug. 31. Nominees for the award should be a for-profit business-to-business service, a manufacturing business or a technology company operating in Pasco County (municipalities and affiliates are excluded). The awards are separated into categories based on the number of employees, and winners from the past five years are not eligible. Nominations may be submitted online at pascoedc.com/events/details/pasco-edc-annual-industry-awards-nomination. For information, call Suzanne Renczkowski at (813) 926-0827, ext. 226.
