The Hampton Inn Dade City/Zephyrhills recently received the Connie Award, recognizing it as one of the top hotels in the Hampton Hotels chain.

The Connie Award, named after company founder Conrad N. Hilton, is bestowed annually upon the top hotels within each brand in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio and is based on high product and service scores, as judged by guests, as well as top ratings on quality assurance inspections conducted by the company.

Located at 13215 U.S. 301 in Dade City, the 64-room hotel has been open since 2007. The property is owned by Piyush and Nayana Mulji of Small Street Hotels DC, and David E. Loomis is the hotel's general manager.

Colliers International Tampa Bay announces that River Walk shopping center, a Publix-anchored center in New Port Richey, recently sold for $8.45 million to Fairway-River Walk (Fairway Investments).

Alabama-based Fairway Investments, a real estate investment company with a large portfolio of grocery-anchored retail centers in Florida, has been actively pursuing grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Tampa Bay area. In addition to River Walk, Fairway Investments owns four retail centers in Tampa Bay and nine in Florida.

The 69,083-square-foot shopping center is at 11332 and 11400 Ridge Road, New Port Richey (at Moon Lake and DeCubellis roads). It sits on 9.15 acres. For information, contact Kyle Park at (727) 895-4030, ext. 101.

Leadership Pasco, a development program that explores issues through a series of seminars and hands-on activities, is accepting applications for its Class of 2013.

The program is open to people interested in community involvement and supporting the prosperity of Pasco County. Topics include leadership skills, the history of Pasco County, education, health care and social services, law enforcement and criminal justice, economic and business development, government and infrastructure.

Applications are due by June 1 and may be submitted online at leadershippasco.com.

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point recently elected new board of trustee members, including Dr. Rao Musunuru and Bruce Mills.

Musunuru, a nationally recognized cardiologist, was re-elected to serve on the board for his continued commitment to the medical center and the community at large by advancing the scope of local medical services to the national standards. He previously served on the board from 1990 to 2004, including serving as chairman.

Mills, who is the chairman of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce, was elected to the hospital board to represent the needs of the community that the medical center serves.
